Wheel of Trauma

Panel 1: Star Trek TNG-style title: “After Effects.” Picard: “Counselor, I don’t understand the point of this.” Troi: “It’s called gamification therapy.” 2: Troi: “It’s a type of desensitization. The idea is to help you deal with trauma by associating your negative memories with something fun…such as a game or puzzle. Now please, Captain…” 3: Zoom out to see Picard and Troi standing behind the Wheel of Fortune wheel. Troi: “…pick a letter.” Picard: “Very well. R.” 4: The Wheel of Fortune board: “TH___ A__ F___ L_GHTS.” Blanche Devereaux is in the letter-turning position. Guy Smiley, host: “Yes! There are…” 5: The board: “TH_R_ AR_ F___ L_GHTS.” Guy Smiley: “…two Rs!” Off-panel: “.”

Nobody is Above the Law

Location: Enterprise-D observation lounge Panel 1: Star Trek TNG-style title: “God Complex.” Picard: “Why are you here, Q?” Q: “I want to introduce you to an acquaintance of mine. A fellow god.” 2: Close-up of Unicron’s head: “I am (dramatic font) Unicron. The chaos bringer. Devourer of worlds.” 3: Picard, Q, and Unicron stand in the observation lounge with the table and chairs in the foreground. Unicron: “I’m usually much larger but you have low ceilings. I’m adaptable.” Picard: “What’s the point of this, Q?” Q: “I just wanted to remind you of how pathetic your little species is by introducing you to another supernatural being.” 4: Picard: “There are no such things as gods or supernatural beings, Q. Every being in the universe is governed by a set of inviolable physical laws. Including you. Despite the seemingly impossible things you can do with a snap of your fingers, even you must obey a set of natural laws. When you seem to violate the laws as we know them, it’s only because we corporeal beings don’t have a complete understanding of the laws. That’s why we’re out here, Q. To explore and expand our understanding of the universe. It may take us centuries, but someday we will understand how you and your companion here operate.” 5: Wide shot, the table and chairs gone. Picard: “…did you just eat the conference table?” Q: “You couldn’t hear the crunching noises over the sound of your own monologue.” Unicron, holding a chair: “All that talking made me hungry. Most things make me hungry. I may have an eating disorder.” Q: “A supernatural eating disorder.”
