Furmanism

Location: Autobot base Panel 1: Optimus Prime: “I think the Matrix is trying to tell me something, old friend.” Kup: “That’s never good. What is it?” 2: Optimus: “I don’t know. There’s a presence. Something that doesn’t belong.” 3: Optimus, hand to his head: “It’s haunting me, Kup. I can almost see it when I shut off my optics. It’s just at the edge of my perception. Lurking. Like some—vast predatory bird.” 4: Optimus and Kup look down to see Camilla the Muppet chicken, saying “Baaaawk.”

A Lesson From History

Location: World Between Worlds Panel 1: Anakin Skywalker (old, ghost): “Snips, I want you to meet a friend of mine.” Off-panel: “Acquaintance.” Anakin: “Snips, I want you to meet an acquaintance of mine.” 2: Anakin: “This is Jor-El from the planet Krypton.” Ahsoka: “It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Jor-El: “The pleasure is mine. Anakin asked me to talk to you about the importance of having a hobby.” 3: Jor-El: “You may think it’s a waste of time, but everyone needs leisure activities. Whether it’s something you sure with others or something you engage with alone, a hobby can help you relax and focus. No matter the scope of your responsibilities, you won’t be able to handle them as well if you’re stressed and exhausted all the time. When the world is crumbing around you, a hobby can give you a distraction and help you to maintain some sanity. And sometimes the skills you build with your hobby can apply to other problems.” 4: Jor-El: “For instance, my hobby used to be building baby-sized rockets. All my coworkers made fun of me for it. Then the planet exploded. Now my son is alive and well on another planet and their babies are all dead.” Anakin: “I know what that’s like.” 5: Anakin: “My hobby used to be genocide. I had a lot of critics, believe me. Now those critics are all dead. Because of the aforementioned genocide. Anyway, hobbies are great and you should get one.”
