William Brown

Location: Enterprise-D transporter room Panel 1: Riker: “Beam up Mr. Brown, Geordi.” Geordi: “Aye, Commander.” 2: Geordi, looking at the console: “Something’s interfering with the transport. The Heisenberg compensator is fluctuating. It’s too late to cancel.” 3: Riker: “Can you correct the problem?” Geordi: “We’re about to find out. Materializing now.” 4: Charlie Brown, standing on the transporter pad: “Is everything okay, Commander La Forge? That felt strange.” 5: Star Trek TNG-style title: “It’s a Transporter Accident, Charlie Brown.” A second, grumpier Charlie Brown next to the first: “Good grief.”

Nobody is Above the Law

Location: Enterprise-D observation lounge Panel 1: Star Trek TNG-style title: “God Complex.” Picard: “Why are you here, Q?” Q: “I want to introduce you to an acquaintance of mine. A fellow god.” 2: Close-up of Unicron’s head: “I am (dramatic font) Unicron. The chaos bringer. Devourer of worlds.” 3: Picard, Q, and Unicron stand in the observation lounge with the table and chairs in the foreground. Unicron: “I’m usually much larger but you have low ceilings. I’m adaptable.” Picard: “What’s the point of this, Q?” Q: “I just wanted to remind you of how pathetic your little species is by introducing you to another supernatural being.” 4: Picard: “There are no such things as gods or supernatural beings, Q. Every being in the universe is governed by a set of inviolable physical laws. Including you. Despite the seemingly impossible things you can do with a snap of your fingers, even you must obey a set of natural laws. When you seem to violate the laws as we know them, it’s only because we corporeal beings don’t have a complete understanding of the laws. That’s why we’re out here, Q. To explore and expand our understanding of the universe. It may take us centuries, but someday we will understand how you and your companion here operate.” 5: Wide shot, the table and chairs gone. Picard: “…did you just eat the conference table?” Q: “You couldn’t hear the crunching noises over the sound of your own monologue.” Unicron, holding a chair: “All that talking made me hungry. Most things make me hungry. I may have an eating disorder.” Q: “A supernatural eating disorder.”
