First Words

First panel: Dr. McCoy: “I don’t have a baseline for his species, so I can’t be certain. He may be nonverbal because of a physiological deficiency or it could be due to early childhood trauma. Or his level of development may be perfectly normal for his species.” Second panel: Grogu stands on a bio-bed. McCoy: “We can try a mild neural stimulant to see if it wakes up the speech center of his brain.” Din Djarin: “Is it dangerous?” McCoy: “No. Worst case, he’ll have trouble sleeping tonight.” Din Djarin: “Do it.” Third panel: McCoy, administering a hypospray to Grogu: “We should know almost immediately if it has any effect.” Fourth panel: Din Djarin, holding Grogu: “Well, kid? Have you got anything to say?” Fifth panel: Grogu: “You’re not my real dad!”
